| Why is the government holding back on acknowledgement of the facts about the Persian Gulf War Illness, and the fact that hundreds of thousands military personnel are sick from Chemical and/or Bio-Chemical, and/or DU low-level exposure, and in fact semi-contagious? Lets not forget that the government did the same thing with the Viet Nam Veterans in respect to "Agent Orange". We as soldiers (reference is made for all branches of the military and civilians) who served in Southwest Asia are in grave danger of dying far before our time, due to what we were exposed to during the time we spent in the Theater of Operations during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. It is not my intent to die before I am ready, and I know that you all feel the same way. So why in Gods name are we letting the government tell us that there in nothing wrong with us! I for one was in very good shape before going into the desert, and had a physical not to long before going into that area. Then upon returning back to my home station, I started to experience all kinds of problems with my health, as so did most of you. I don't know almost none of you, but we are all suffering from the same effects in the same time periods (based on where we were) in the Theater of Operations. It seems to me that if we take each Division involved , by location, and then evaluate each one of them by symptoms, we would have a graft that would mirror those individuals to their locations and to what division the were assigned to. This would show at what levels of contamination we all were exposed to, just based on how sick we are, and to what degree we have deteriorated since returning back to the states. With all the information that has been compiled on all the military that served in Southwest Asia during the periods of 1 December 1990 - 1 July 1991 (I am giving this time frame as a bases to compile such data). This would be the period most likely to have the highest rate of contamination to all service member involved in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.) An old saying in the military is: "If you don't take care of yourself, no one else will!". |
| I believe that we are contagious to all our close family members, and for all the single personnel who are still doing the dating thing, they are contaminating all of those people as well, and those people are doing the same thing to all that they date. Does anybody see where this is going - we are in big trouble, if this goes much further! We all know what it has done to us, now multiply that by the population of the United States and all the other countries involved in this. This is not a good sign for the world, so to speak! It has come down to this my Brothers and Sisters, stop being scared of what has happened to us and don't fear what might someday become of us all. It is time to put the boots back on and pick up our lives as proud soldiers and start fighting back. We joined our military branches to help keep the peace, and to fight if needed. We all knew that when we raised our hands we might someday have to pick up our weapons and do our duty as soldiers and fight in some type of conflict. We all did this with honor, and with fewer soldiers ever killed in any war in modern history, but now here we are six plus years later, suffering from things that are crippling us, and killing a lot of us off one by one. I didn't spend 2/3s of my life in the military to see my health go down the tubes, just because our government is not willing to admit that they lied once again to us, and they're covering it up as they have done many times in the past. Do we as veterans, who for only the second or third time in in this century, been exposed to a form of Bio-Chemical Warfare, are now being denied in all respects, the proper medical care that is needed to control and/or get rid off these contaminates from our systems. I for one, am not going to lay down, and give up and die, just because my government/our government is willing to let us die, rather than to tell the truth, and nothing but the truth, about what is the real reason they are covering up vital information that could save our lives. I would guess that the Pentagon in there great wisdom figure that we are expendable, and they don't have to tell all their secrets, or share their information with anybody outside of their five walls.
